Today we’re going to talk about my friend Benji Le, who you might know better as Benji Plant.

Maybe you first met Benji, his boyfriend Chris, their pup, and their plethora of plants when I showcased their home on a tour. Benji is a houseplant stylist and interior designer. I featured his enchanted treehouse of a home because it was pure love and magic.

This is his channel, which is a paean to great design, as is his Instagram.

When the wildfire warnings kicked in, Benji and Chris loaded up their dog and their cat, threw a few things into suitcases, and got out of Altadena, waiting it out a friend’s house.

They are safe.

Their home was not safe, nor was their neighborhood nor their community.

Benji is an example of the real people who lost everything in this tragic fire, so I want to call your attention to his GoFundMe.

And here is the GoFundMe Benji has organized for the folks in his neighborhood who also need help because Altadena was such a special place for him.
