What If I Told You None of It Was Accidental?
WELCOME
Hello, and happy back-to-school season! I hope your summer is closing out nicely and included all the fun stuff y’all hoped to do.
As for me… apparently, I am supposed to find something productive to do with myself and my time between now and 10/3 when Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl drops, OMS! Fortunately, I will be going to Vegas over the weekend to see the Backstreet Boys at the Sphere, and then on to Tom Ferry in Dallas next week. (Be sure to say hey if you’re there!) But in the interim, the real estate in my mind is occupied by the coming album and the absolute joy of Taylor and Travis’s joint appearance on his New Heights podcast. That’s why our lesson today is what we can take from Taylor as a businesswoman, a strategist, and a marketer, and how we can relate it all to real estate.
Are you ready for it?

YOUR FACE. YOUR VOICE. YOUR BRAND…ELEVATED
I love hearing from agents who are ready to step into their spotlight, because that’s exactly how I got started. (Only difference? I didn’t have half the resources y’all do now.)
Now, if you missed it, let me catch you up: The Estate Media Agent Growth Program isn’t just another content bundle. This is your brand glow-up. We take powerhouse agents and turn them into the stars they were born to be—with short-form video that doesn’t just look good, it builds trust, drives leads, and gets those phones blowing up.
This isn’t fluff. This is brand fire. You're working with the same team behind some of the loudest, proudest voices in real estate. So if you’re ready to stop fading into the feed and start turning heads? This is your moment!
STORY TIME WITH GLENNDA
Let me tell y’all something—if real estate agents want a masterclass in business, branding, and connection, they need to look no further than Miss Taylor Alison Swift. That woman has built an empire not by trying to be everything to everyone, but by knowing exactly who she is and who she’s for.
Taylor figured out early on that not everybody was going to like her, and instead of wasting energy trying to win over the haters, she doubled down on those who loved her. She went deeper, not wider. And isn’t that exactly what separates the average agent from the great ones? The average agent wants to cast the widest net, but the great ones know the magic is in building strong, loyal connections with their people.
Now, here’s the genius part—Taylor doesn’t clap back. (At least not immediately and impulsively.) She doesn’t waste her breath fighting with critics. She plays the long game. She tells her story, she creates her art, and she lets the results speak louder than any rebuttal ever could. In real estate, the same is true. You don’t have to prove yourself to every naysayer in your market. You just keep showing up, doing excellent work, and letting your clients do the talking for you. Over time, the truth will rise, and so will your reputation.
What I love most about Taylor’s success is how intentional she’s been in building her fan base. She doesn’t just create music. Instead, she creates conversation, connection, and community. She makes her shows all about her audience. Compare that to Bruno Mars, who famously makes people lock up their phones at his concerts. Taylor does the opposite—she practically hands you the keys and says, “Post it, share it, scream it from the rooftops.” And what happened? Zillions of Eras Tour videos flooded the internet and made people want to come even more. That’s because Taylor understood the show wasn’t about her. Instead, it was about the experience she created for her fans. And that right there is the lesson for real estate agents: stop making your content about yourself. Make it about the property. Make it about the client. Put the spotlight on them, not on you. When you make people feel like the star of the show, they’ll never forget you.
Massive brands see the power of her influence, too. Entities like Coke, McDonald’s, and United Airlines, companies that would never dream of tinkering with their own logos, spent the day after her album announcement highlighting their socials with orange glitter. Hell, they even changed the lights on the Empire State Building! That’s the power of her magnetism. She’s not just releasing music; she’s creating cultural moments. Imagine if you could create that kind of ripple with the way you market your listings or your brand; that’s the gold standard.
What it all boils down to is that Taylor is a master storyteller. That’s her draw. She’s not the best singer in the world, but it doesn’t matter because of the way she paints pictures with her words. You can see the cardigan hanging over the chair, you can feel the summer air in August, you can taste the salt of the tears. That’s what pulls people in and makes them feel. And it’s exactly the same in real estate. Selling a home isn’t about rattling off the square footage or the appliance package—it’s about telling the story of how it feels to live there. It’s about painting the picture so vividly that the buyer can already imagine themselves in the space, building their own memories.
Check out this Instagram from agent extraordinaire Matt Lionetti if you want to see powerful storytelling in action:
(As for that video, I’m not crying; you’re crying.)
At the end of the day, Taylor blends creativity with business in a way that feels seamless. She’s true to herself, but she’s also intentional about how she informs, impacts, and inspires her people. And that’s the sweet spot for us, too. Real estate isn’t just transactions. Real estate is human connection. It’s storytelling. It’s building a brand that people can trust, relate to, and rally around.
If Taylor Swift can make stadiums full of people feel seen and valued, surely we can do the same in our businesses, one client, one property, and one story at a time.

Welcome, Tricia Lee!
I am so excited to be sitting down with the one and only Tricia Lee this week! In fact, Tricia’s one of the leading voices in New York real estate! Before real estate, she built and sold a nationally recognized beauty brand, proving she knows exactly how to create, grow, and exit a business with style. So I cannot be more delighted to share our conversation!
Thanks, Tricia!
