What’s up, friends?
Today’s home brings us all the grandeur of Gatsby, thanks to its impeccable upkeep! This a historic marvel in Los Angeles, CA is named the “Hancock Park Masterpiece” -and it certainly lives up to its name.
Built in 1929, this property has 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, but only a 0.46 acre lot? Don’t fret over that: there’s over 6,000 sqft. inside, and it’ll cost you $6,998,000 to get your hands on the keys…
Lucky for us, we can take a look-see together right now!

I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times: they don’t make things like they used to. And this “used to” is nearly 100 years old! By that, I mean these covered/gated entry ways, tiled front door walk-up, a (standard) 4-car garage, and some beautifully trimmed hedges.

Stepping in, we’re transported to a time of silent films, grand staircases, and one-of-a-kind stained glass pieces.

While primarily an open space, the simplicity of the room helps emphasize the intricate design of the pieces in the room: metalwork banister and railings, a wooden grandfather clock, and even crown molding above the entryway door.

As classy as this place is, I wish there was a pop of color. Like this dining room is evidently pricey, but it’s a bit beige for my tastes.

I know I boasted about how “dated” and “unchanged” this home is… but the kitchen is another story. Now, there’s a blend of simple design of the past with modern day features and appliances.

What’s contained within these white walls? A butler’s pantry, double ovens, Sub-Zero fridge, and breakfast nook -with a matching chair to form a modern-esque telephone bench!

Before we head upstairs, let’s take a quick reset! Rest on the couch or take a quick trip to the powder room -where the lining of the sink is very “of its time”.

Upstairs, we get an up-close look at the stairs themselves, and the pretty landing where they lead:

Bedrooms are plentiful in this home. They all have nice large windows, pops of colors, and not too much orangey-brown… wait, nevermind.

Dated luxurious bathrooms might be my kryptonite… cause I’m gawking at how GORGEOUS these are!!! From the pink bathtubs, to the intricate glass sconces, and wavy wallpaper, I love it all!

You may be wondering “What about the other 2 bedrooms?” Well, they’re not currently operating at such: one is a home gym, one is an additional living room.

It wouldn’t be the 1920s without a bit of booze. Again, luckily this place had exactly what we need: a proper bar, with classic swiveling barstools and all.

And a stocked bar is nothing without company to enjoy it with -but where will we entertain our guests?

I’d like to imagine this live music setup was once “the bee’s knees’ for dancing and shmoozing.
(I had to Google 1920s slang for that last sentence, haha)

Outside, this grand lawn has been impeccably maintained. And if I was invited to a party here, I’m unsure if I would ever make it inside the house because I’d be so transfixed by all this.

But I don’t need to go back inside. Everything is here: Dinging? Check. Lounging? Check. Everything I want in a simple outdoor space? Absolutely.

Let it be known: I’m extra picky because this place is nearly 7 MILLION DOLLARS… that are, honestly, really worth it. You’d own a piece of history, which is something a new paint job could never take away from you.
